GC2000 SD card limitations
Last Updated 7 years ago

Due to the way the modern SD cards are designed there are a couple of limitations to types of cards that are compatible with the GC2000.

This device can only support SD, and SDHC cards, formatted in FAT32. Due to the limitations of the type of flash memory used in these card types this limits the max SD card size to 32 gigabytes, and individual files to 4 gigabytes. However, files may be spliced together using your favorite video editing software.

The newer, larger capacity, SDXC cards are not compatible due to incompatibility with the exFAT filesystems.
