Last Updated 5 years ago

Due to the age of this chipset, there will only be limited support for windows 10. The card will still function using a windows 8.1 driver, but will not provide full surround sound functionality. Digital Connections will no longer be supported. These cards will only provide 2 channel stereo.

Please download the drivers for the XS51, XS71 or XS71DDL here. Please make sure to save the files, and then extract the folder from it's compressed state before beginning.

To install the card on windows 10, you must use the windows device manager. To open the device manager simply right click on the start button in the lower left , and select the option for device manager.

Once the device manager opens, you will have one of 2 options so show the card. If the card is brand new, or you did a clean install of windows 10, then you will see the sound card listed as a "Multimedia audio controller" under the category of "Other devices".

If you upgraded the system, and already had a driver installed, then you may see a "C-Media PCI Audio Device" listed under the "Sound Video and Game Controllers" category.
