How do I get audio from my TV?
Last Updated 5 years ago

The WPCTVPRO device is capable of sending sound and video to a remote display, be it a TV, monitor, projector, or some other display device.

You can set it to play sound through the remote device by configuring your sound properties.'

For Windows:

Start by making sure that your device is connected and working. You should see something on the remote display.

Once the remote display is working, you can configure your computer to push audio as well. You must be using HDMI or have the audio jack on the back connected to a playback device (surround sound receiver, speakers, etc.)

Start by right clicking on the speaker icon image in the bottom left hand corner of the desktop. A menu should pop up, and one of the options will be "Playback devices".

Select this option, and a new window will pop up.

In the new window, select the option for "Samsung Audio/video Device" and click "set default" Your audio should switch over, and you should be good to go. If you want the audio to come from some other device, you can also choose a different device, but the system can only push sound out to one device at a time.

This will open a new window with several more options. There should be a speaker option on the right side of the window labeled "Sound"

This will open another new window, and it will show you what audio devices are available. Select the one that says "Samsung Audio/Video device" and close everything down. Your audio should then come from the TV.
