Frequently Asked Questions

I only see my desktop background.
Last Updated 5 years ago

If you only see the desktop background this means that the computer is set to extended mode. If you want both screens to display the same image on the screen, On windows 7 and 8 this can be done by holding the windows key on your keyboard(the windows key is located between your Ctrl and Alt keys) and the letter P key. Let the keys go at the same time. If you do this correctly you will get a menu to come up on your screen with the following options Computer only, Duplicate, Extend, and finally Projector only. To display the same image on both screens select Duplicate and they will give you the same image on both screens.

You can also access these options by right clicking on the desktop background and selecting the option for "Screen Resolution". There is an option on the screen for "Multiple Displays". Set it for "Duplicate these Displays", press "Apply" and then click "Keep". Both screens should then show the exact same images.
